Pint Number: 29 County: Laois Town: Stradbelly Pub: Daniel Dunne Details: Richard doesn't have much love for Laois - he's been there several times to play cricket and lost, and then the mighty Laois Gaelic Football team beat Offaly (for whom he was barracking) in the All-Ireland football qualifiers. And then when we stopped at Stradbelly he had to run to the other end of the town to get cash, and then fend off some knacker trying to steal his PIN code. Oh, and did I mention that he and Greg were honked at by several passer-by's whilst they were taking a piss on the side of the road whilst we were stuck in traffic. And then they had to run about 500 metres to catch up with us. And then on the way out of the town, Geoffrey decided it was Pirating time again, and 'aaarrrhhhh'ed his way through the main street (which was packed for the Steam Festival that was on). He nearly convinced a couple of wenches to join them in Bluntie. Alas it was not to be. Oh, and in the midst of all that, we had a pint. County 29 - Success!
Greg - you are not, and never will be, a moose. Just accept it and enjoy life as a human. |
